Contents Analysis #3

“Clash magazine” is aimed at a slightly older audience (18-26 year olds) who enjoy a range of different music genres from rock to dance and hip-hop. The content of it is pretty plain and does not have many images at all- just the one main image and another 3 additional ones that you can see displayed. The style of the page is well suited to its older audience as it is plain, easy to read and is not too over the top with ecstatic text, font, headings and images.
The layout of the contents page resembles the back of a CD cover in terms of the way the writing and images are placed. All the information and images are neatly listed into columns to avoid confusion. It is noticeable that the central image is significant of Jesus Christ because of the pose shown by the male. He ironically fits the profile of the Jesus that is portrayed to the world- a white male with long brown hair and a full beard. This detail is very important as it is the main image on the contents and it is linked to Christianity- because of the mature readership the reader should automatically be able to notice this.
