This is an issue of kerrang which has all the features of the typical music magazine. It contains a masthead which shows the producer of the magazine. The bold white font of the kerrang title centered in the middle of the page is consistant through all issues so it is easily recogniseable for the target market to purchace and acts as a logo to create brand loyalty.
The main cover line 'Fall Out Boy life is sweet' is in correlation with the main image which is pete (from fallout boy) eating an ice cream. This shows that the main story in the magazine is going to be fall out boy and the cover line and image tell the audience this by focusing their front cover around it.
The majority of kerrang readers will be fall out boy fans as kerrangs target market is the rock/punk genre and fall out boy come under that genre. Kerrang will be looking to get more sales this way as people will want to read about their favoured bands.
In smaller text there is more stories that are inside the magazine that are less important that the main 'fall out boy' article but still want to tease the reader into reading. The put all these cover lines in to show the magazine has variety and want to appeal to as wide an audience as possible without going outside the target market.
There are two selling lines on the cover; one lining the top and one under the main cover line as they want to promote their offers as much as possible. These offers are outlined in yellow which contrasts the magazines colours of white and black to stand out.

Not a bad start, Charlie but would epect more annotation - you also need to focus on layout and design.
