This is the contents page of the magazine vibe. When comparing this to the kerrang contents page there are alot of differences. The magazine has made the contents page more interesting by the image and mixes of fasion statements used on the page. They have used a heading for ‘features’ and a heading for ‘fasion’ which splits up the two, but tells the reader to expect abit more than music and celeberties within the magazine. The magazine has a rather monotone colour an is even carried on in the dress colour of Ciara in the main image showing that she is a huge part of the magazine.

When comparing this to kerrang there are a few differences such as the way the sections are divided up; there are many more sub catagories in kerrang. There are also many more images on kerrang magazine. This is because vibe is aimed at a much more mature audience and doesnt need images and colours to attract as its main aim is to inform.

The masthead stands out to the reader, it is in a bold font and is white on almost a fading black background, therefore contrasting it and making it stand out to the rest of the page. The contents title is broken up into three parts which is quite unusual as it is no perticular order. This coincides with the different layout of this page, which could also contain a confusing side to it. This also links with the fact that Ciara is laying upside down, another element of confusion could be added here.

Ciara is being sold in a sexual image as the main thing standing out is Ciara’s bare flesh. The reader knows she is meant to be a sexual image as she is laying down with her legs in the air, this could be seen as overly sexual for a contents page and is not needed.
