Designing Our Masthead

After designing a various number of Mastheads- using different colours, different fonts and different sizes we came to the decision that this Masthead would be most effective for our magazine 'VOLUME'. It uses two very well contrasting colours (bright pink with a bright yellow outline) which will be placed on a black background, so it will be successful in the sense that it is bright, bold and eye catching. The pink may imply it is for a female audience, but this is not the case as the yellow outline is a neutral colour that is related to both sexes (male and female).
